Known limitations of the nowistay AI Assistant

The nowistay's AI Assistant is designed to simplify communication with your guests. However, to ensure optimal use, please note the following current limitations:

Platform compatibility

As of now, the AI co-host is directly compatible with properties available for rent on Airbnb and Booking.

For other platforms (Booking.com, Abritel, Vrbo, etc.): A connection via the Beds24 channel manager, Smoobu channel manager or Lodgify channel manager is required to enable message automation.

We will keep you informed as soon as integrations with other PMS/channel manager solutions become available.

Response triggering

The AI co-host responds to messages from travelers at any time, once reservations have been confirmed.

When connected to a compatible PMS (Beds24, Lodgify, or Smoobu), the AI co-host even responds to requests for information (before booking). However, it does not negotiate or check availability. It only answers questions about the property and its location.

Exception for live connection with Airbnb and Booking

The AI assistant only responds to travelers whose reservation has been confirmed on Airbnb or Booking (i.e., once the traveler has paid for part or all of the reservation). Therefore, inquiries or pre-booking messages are not handled by the AI co-host.

Replies linked to a specific property

Each AI Assistant is linked to one property. To use the assistant for another rental, you must:

1. Create the corresponding property on nowistay
2. Complete its digital welcome guide
3. Subscribe to a new dedicated “Assistant” plan

Supported languages

The AI Assistant automatically detects the guest’s language and replies in the same language, provided it is one of the 90 to 100 supported languages 😊
