A Booking.com guest can sometimes book fewer nights, or pay a lower nightly price, than you configured in Nowistay because they selected an additional rate plan created in the Booking.com extranet. Nowistay controls the Standard rate plan. Other plans, such as a weekly rate, can have their own discounts and minimum-stay rules.
This can happen with any additional rate plan whose prices or restrictions differ from what you intend, whether it is weekly, monthly, non-refundable or another custom offer. The weekly plan below is just an example. The solution is to identify and correct every affected plan, or delete any you do not need.
A rate plan is a booking offer with its own price conditions and stay rules. Alongside the Standard Rate, Booking.com can offer a weekly, monthly or non-refundable plan configured in the extranet.
An additional plan can calculate its price from the standard rate, for example with a 10% discount, while applying different stay restrictions. Following the standard price does not necessarily mean following the standard minimum stay. Booking.com treats price inheritance and restriction inheritance as separate settings.
For the Nowistay connection, manage the standard plan's nightly prices and minimum stays in Nowistay. Review the additional Booking.com plans directly in the extranet. Changing the calendar in Nowistay does not automatically correct a minimum stay configured independently on another plan.
The following situation can explain a booking that appears to ignore your calendar. The amounts below are illustrative:
The booking uses the weekly plan's conditions. The standard plan can still be correctly synchronized with Nowistay. The word “weekly” in a plan name is not enough: verify that its actual minimum stay is seven nights. This is an example of a misconfigured plan, not a rule that every Booking.com weekly plan allows one-night stays.
Menu wording and editable fields can vary by property setup and extranet version. Some accounts place calendar tools under Calendar & Pricing. If a restriction or editing option is unavailable, ask Booking.com Partner Support to make it available or confirm the plan's inheritance settings.
Review each additional plan and update its price calculation and stay restrictions to match the offer you actually want to sell. A discount or a different minimum stay can be intentional; the issue is an offer that allows bookings on unintended terms.
For a plan that should follow your standard conditions, verify its inheritance settings. For a plan with its own conditions, define and maintain those explicitly. In the weekly example, that means keeping the desired discount and requiring at least 7 nights. Seven nights is specific to this example, not a minimum to apply to every plan.
If the plan does not yet exist, start with Add new rate plan on the same page, choose the weekly offer, configure its standard-rate-based discount and 7-night minimum, then review and activate it. Recheck its restrictions after creation.
With a €100 standard nightly rate, a 3-night standard minimum and a weekly plan offering 10% off for stays of at least 7 nights:
These examples assume availability and all other booking conditions are satisfied. If the standard nightly price later becomes €120, a weekly plan that follows it with 10% off becomes €108. You keep your base prices in Nowistay and use Booking.com to offer a deliberate discount for longer stays.
Check seasonal exceptions: a separate 7-night minimum will not necessarily increase when you set 10 nights in Nowistay for a holiday period. Adjust or close the weekly plan for those dates if necessary. Also verify how it follows closures and other restrictions. A fixed weekly rule works alongside your base plan only while both reflect your intended booking policy.
If you do not need an additional offer, whether weekly, monthly, non-refundable or custom, remove that plan so guests can no longer select it for new bookings.
Keep the Standard rate plan connected to Nowistay. Delete only the unwanted additional plan. Removing a rate plan does not cancel existing reservations or change the conditions guests already booked.
Read the full guide to managing availability, prices and stay restrictions from the Nowistay calendar. These settings control your base calendar and the connected standard plan; review additional Booking.com plans separately.
Check every modified plan on Booking.com using available dates, the same guest count and stay lengths below and above its intended minimum. Compare the offered price with the conditions you configured. For the weekly example, search for 1, 3 and 7 nights. In the example above, the weekly rate should never appear for fewer than 7 nights, or should disappear entirely if you deleted it. Review every remaining plan if a short stay is still offered.
If the price still differs, compare the selected plan, any Nowistay channel price adjustment, Booking.com promotions, occupancy and included fees or taxes. A different final price is not by itself proof of a synchronization problem.
