Every booking that reaches Nowistay carries the guest's name, email and phone number. The guest database turns all of that into a real customer list: one entry per person, even when the same guest books several times or stays at different properties of yours. It is your own CRM, built automatically from your bookings, so you can keep in touch with past guests, encourage repeat stays and grow your direct bookings.

The guest database is available with an active Nowistay subscription.
Each row is one guest, with six columns:
By default the list shows your most recently hosted guests first. Click a column header to sort by Bookings, Total paid or Last stay, and use the search box at the top to find a guest by name, email or phone.

Click any guest to open their profile. You will see:
From the same panel you can Edit the guest's details or Delete the guest.

Most of the time you will not need to, because Nowistay creates and updates guests for you. But you can add one by hand, for example a returning guest you booked offline.
If the email or phone you enter already belongs to a guest, Nowistay tells you, so you do not create a duplicate. To change an existing guest, open their profile and click Edit.
When you create a direct booking, you do not have to retype a returning guest's details. In the booking form, use the Existing guest field at the top of the guest section, search by name, and select the guest. Their name, email, phone and address fill in automatically. You can still edit any field afterwards.
Click Export CSV on the Guests page to download your whole list as a spreadsheet. It includes each guest's contact details and totals: number of bookings, total paid and last stay. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets or your email marketing tool to run a campaign and bring guests back for a direct stay.
You never have to maintain the list by hand. Here is what happens behind the scenes.
Whenever a booking arrives, from Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, Expedia, a direct reservation, a booking you add manually, or a CSV import, Nowistay reads the guest's name, email and phone and links the booking to a guest.
Nowistay matches a booking to an existing guest using the email address or the phone number. If either one matches a guest you already have, the booking is attached to that same guest, even when it is for a different property. This is what lets you see a guest's full history in one place.
The phone number is treated as the most reliable match, because some booking platforms give each reservation a different masked email address. Matching on the phone keeps a returning guest as a single contact even when their email changes from one booking to the next.
A matching name on its own is never enough to merge two guests. Two travellers who happen to share the same name stay as separate contacts. Only a shared email or phone links bookings to the same person.
As more bookings come in for the same guest, Nowistay fills in any contact details that were missing. When you edit a guest's name, either on the guest profile or on one of their bookings, that change becomes the reference and is kept. Your most recent edit always wins.
The number of bookings, the total paid and the last stay are recalculated every time you open the list, so they always reflect the bookings currently linked to the guest. Cancelled bookings are left out of the totals.
Deleting a guest only removes the contact record. The bookings behind it are kept, with all their details. And deleting a booking never deletes the guest, so your customer list stays intact even after a stay is removed.
