How to export your data from Nowistay

Nowistay lets you export your data as CSV files at any time, with no setup required. There are four ways to do it, depending on what you need: export every booking for one property, export a filtered list of bookings, export your missions, or ask an AI assistant to build a custom export for you through the Nowistay connector. Every CSV opens directly in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.

Method 1: Export every booking for a single property

Use this when you want all bookings ever recorded for one property, regardless of date or status.

  1. Open your Properties page and select the property you want to export.
  2. Click Advanced settings.
  3. In the Export bookings section, click Download CSV.

The file contains all bookings for that property, sorted by arrival date (earliest first). It is named after the property and the export date, for example my-apartment-bookings-2026-06-02.csv.

Method 2: Export a filtered list of bookings

Use this when you want bookings across several properties, a specific date range, or a specific status, for example all confirmed bookings for next month.

  1. Open the Bookings page.
  2. Apply any filters you need: property, status, date range, or guest name search.
  3. Click the download icon in the toolbar (its label reads Download CSV).

The export respects your active filters, so the CSV contains exactly the bookings currently shown in your list. The file is named bookings-export-2026-06-02.csv.

  • propertyId
  • reservationNumber (the OTA reservation number)
  • channel (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, Expedia, or direct)

Method 3: Export your missions

Missions are the operational tasks linked to your properties and bookings, such as cleanings, check-ins, and maintenance.

  1. Open the Missions page.
  2. Apply any filters you need: property, mission type, status, assigned team member, or date range.
  3. Click the download icon in the toolbar (its label reads Download CSV).

As with bookings, the export respects your active filters and contains only the missions currently shown. The file is named missions-export-2026-06-02.csv.

What is included in a missions CSV

The column headers are in English:

Mission details

  • Mission ID, Property ID, Property
  • Type (cleaning, maintenance, check-in, and so on)
  • Title, Description
  • Status

Timing

  • Scheduled date, Started date, Completed date
  • Duration minutes

Method 4: Ask an AI assistant for a custom export (MCP connector)

If you connect Nowistay to an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini through the Nowistay MCP connector, you can ask for an export in plain language and get exactly the slice of data you want, without filtering anything manually.

For example, you can ask:

  • "Generate a CSV of all the cleaning missions for May 2026."
  • "Export every confirmed booking for my beach apartment this summer as a CSV."

The assistant reads your live Nowistay data and returns a ready-to-use file. This is the most flexible option when you need a specific report that the standard filters do not cover.

To set this up, follow our guide: How to connect ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to Nowistay (MCP).

Which method should you use?

  • One property, every booking: Method 1 (property Advanced settings).
  • A specific set of bookings across properties, dates, or statuses: Method 2 (Bookings page).
  • Cleanings and other tasks: Method 3 (Missions page).
  • A custom report in plain language: Method 4 (MCP connector).

All exports are CSV files encoded in UTF-8, so accented characters and other special characters display correctly in Excel and Google Sheets.
