How to activate my AI Assistant with Smoobu

Are you using Smoobu to manage your short-term rentals? Great news: you can easily activate the nowistay co-host on your listings, whether on Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, or any other platform connected via your PMS / channel manager. Here’s how to do it, step by step 👇

Requirements

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• An active Smoobu account with your property or properties already configured.
• Your listings correctly synced with your booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.).
• An active “Assistant” subscription on nowistay.

Steps to Activate the nowistay Co-Host via Smoobu

1. Log in to your Smoobu dashboard

Go to smoobu.com and log in.

2. How to obtain your Smoobu API keys?

• Navigate to Advanced Settings in Smoobu
• Select "API Keys"
• Copy the code from the "API Keys" field (step 2 on the screenshot above)

3. Configure the assistant in your nowistay dashboard

• In your nowistay property list, click on the “Assistant” button.

• Scroll down to find the “PMS” menu and click on "Smoobu" to expand it.

• Click on “Smoobu”. A new window will open. Click on "Connect to Smoobu".

• A new window will open. Paste the previously copied Smoobu API key.

• Finish your Smoobu configuration (step 2 on the screenshot under) before clicking on "Confirm":

• Copy the content of the field "Webhook URL to copy into Smoobu" below
• Navigate to Advanced Settings in Smoobu and select "API Keys"
• Paste the URL into the "Webhook URL" field and click "Save"

• Click on “Link a property”, select the Smoobu property corresponding to your nowistay listing, and click “Confirm”.

• Once these steps are completed, you’ll see a confirmation message indicating that the Smoobu connection is successfully set up.
